I am a physician with many years of experience with a professional spectrum including cardiovascular medicine and medical journalism (health promotion) since 20 years. I have a Ph.D. (the title of my dissertation is “Assessment of functional heart condition based on echocardiography”).

I have obtained my experience in medicine by working in a State Clinical Hospital (1968–1980) and Hypertension Clinic in Central University Hospital in Warsaw (1981-1999), consulting the most difficult cases from all over the country on a full range of diagnostic issues. Since 2000 I am working in different private clinics consulting patients with cardiovascular diseases.

I have a specialization in internal diseases, hypertensiology, and the title of European Society of Hypertension Specialist. I am the author/co-author of over 875 articles and the author of 19 books . Since 2008 I have received 17 journalist accreditations at conferences on public health issues organized by the European Commission.

Since 2012 I am the editor-in-chief and publisher of the non-profit magazine „Gazeta dla Lekarzy” (www.gazeta-dla-lekarzy.com).

In 2014 I received a diploma from the World League of Hypertension as an award for notable achievement in dietary salt reduction at the population level. I also promote other forms of a healthy lifestyle (adequate physical effort, proper diet, no smoking) as a medical consultant for the popular press (3 titles with a total monthly circulation of several hundred thousand) and during public lectures.

Since 2016 I am a Sermo community columnist (the largest social media network for physicians from 150 countries worldwide). I am a lecturer at post-graduate training conferences for doctors and other medical professionals.

I am a member of the Polish Society of Cardiology and the European Society of Cardiology since 1977.

Can a woman of "a certain age" ( tomorrow is my 77th birthday!) can she still apply for a job in another country, in a foreign language she learned at a firmly adult age? I believe it is possible in a time where ageism is highly inappropriate and reprehensible.
